The joint three-year European promotional campaign by Asiago, Parmigiano Reggiano and Gorgonzola in Poland, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary is about to begin. After an initial phase of analysis in each country and of defining the development objectives of three cheeses, the project is now ready for activities that will involve large retail chains, Horeca, conventional channels, opinion leaders and the media. The result of collaboration between the three consortia and recognition by the EU of the value of the proposed project, CHEESE IT’S EUROPE aims to promote awareness and consumption of the cheeses in the promising markets of Poland, Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic, countries that imported almost 20,000 tons of Italian cheeses and dairy products in 2014, for a value of over 110 million Euro. A figure that, for Poland and the Czech Republic alone, exceeds the +50% of imports in the three-year period from 2013 to 2015 and represents a good start for Asiago cheese, which can take advantage of the important presence of its two project partners in these markets to immediately attract interest and conquer the market. CHEESE IT’S EUROPE is now at the starting line with a high impact event/conference, the EXCELLENT TOUR, to take place in the four countries to draw attention to the excellence and uniqueness of these three Italian products.
